74% of teachers read at most one book per month

This is revealed by a recent virtual survey of Universia PerĂº, conducted to 1884 teachers of basic and primary education in public schools, and who sought to know the reading habits of teachers and the ways they encourage reading among their students.

According to data obtained in the survey, 74% of teachers maximum read a book a month , 19% read two to three books, while 6% say they read a book a week. Worryingly, 2% of teachers admitted not reading regularly.

Likewise, when interviewees were asked about the reading load they entrusted to their students, it was possible to identify that teachers prefer to suggest to their students to read complete books (39%) and readings (38%).
